Equipment
My primary piece of equipment is the Seestar S50. This is a great smart telescope for viewing the Sun, the Moon and Deep Sky Objects. At the moment I am using the tripod that ships with it along with an INNOEL F20 Floating Head Mount for Equatorial mode shots.
Leftfoto leveler. This is used on top of the tripod to help level the telescope. This is great for using the Seestar telescopes in Alt-Z mode. The standard Seestar tripod can be leveled by adjusting the length of the legs so this isn't necessary but it does making getting the scope level much easier.
INNOREL F20 Floating Head Mount. This mounts above the leveler and below the telescope. Its purpose it be able to lean the Seestar telescope so that it aligns with Polaris. Once done you can use the telescope in EQ mode. While not required for astrophotography, being in EQ mode allows for longer exposures which means more light per image.
The ZIKZOK tripod gives me the height I need to see over some of the obstructions I have at home. It is sturdy, can hold the weight of two Seestar S50s (only try to mount one though), works with the leveler and floating head above, and is affordable. The ball head ships unattached so you don't need to fiddle with it before adding your Seestar, leveler or floating head mount. Plus, it comes with a carrying case as it's too big to fit in the Seestar case.
I am currently using an iPhone 16. Luckily you aren't required to use an iPhone as the Seestar software and multiple astronomy applications are available on Android.
Software
Siril is free astrophotography image proessing applicaiton. It can stack images, stretch images and allow you to process the image to bring out the details of your image.
Deep Sky Stacker is another free astrophotography program. It is used to register and stack captured images. It does offer some image processing tools but that is not its strong point.
Raw Therapee is yet another free program used by astrophotographers. It is comparable to Lightroom by Adobe. Once an image is stacked and stretched you can use this program to process the image really bringing out the colors and details.
